People refer to the storms of life, but I see all of life as a storm.
It picks you up and tosses you in the wind, spins you around like a cyclone.
It rains down on you, drenching you with pain and sadness.
And when you try to rise up, a lightning bolt strikes you down again as the thunder booms deafening you.
But there is a silver lining, a ray of sunshine, a distant rainbow, silence, peace…life will always rage around you, but it gives you a gift: hope.
People seem to think hope is something hard to find amongst the storm that is life, but hope is right in front of you, shining like the Son (sun).
Perhaps, this is why life mocks us with its turbulence.
We don’t have to drown in life.
If we embrace the Son (sun), we realize life can’t overcome us.
We overcome life.
